Amos Clarke at Auckland on the 13th Juno, 1873. — The prosecutor said ho did not wish to press the charge, and that if the prisoner would apologise and withdiaw his threat he should bo satisfied — Prisoner was th«n discharged with a caution. Vaurancy. — Patrick Lyn«h vrai oharged with being an incorrigible roguo and vagabond. Sergeant Major Pardy asked for aiemand.ai the prisoner wat suspected of being guilty of aav«ral larcenies. Kemauded till Monday.— John Mickles, ahag " Happy," wai charged with being a vagrant, and having no lawful mtana of support. — The prisonor, a well-known singular-looking old Hindoo, kept muttering in an unintelligible manner all the time ho was in the dock. His Worship remanded him till Monday, and asked if something could not bo ' done towards placing him in the " Old Mou's Refuge."
ALLttCED Larceny. -Sarah Ann Bell was charged with stealing a letter, the propel ty of the New Zealand Poat-odice, on the 2n I instant. Mr. Brookfield appeared for the prosecution ; find Mr. Joy for the defence. — Mr. Brooklield asked for a remand for a week, — Mr. Joy concurred in tho application, and requested that the piisoner might be admitted to bail, in a reasonable- amount. — His Worship, after commenting upon the serious nature of the ehaigo, lived tho bail at ono auroty foi £300, for winch tho bond of prisonei'a hiuband would ho taken, and two of £150 each. — Tho case was remanded for a week.
