Towards the close of the ceremony Dr. Croke addressed the congregation at considerable length, and with much earnestness, explaining to them the nature of the function which they had just witnessed, and why the Roman Catholic Church peifonns her services in the Latiu language. Ho thanked the members o£ other denominations for the geneioua aid received from them, and gave plenty of good sound advice to all classes of Chiiatian people.
