DINNER TO BISHOP CROKE AT COROMANDEL.
Ok Monday evening, a dinner was given to ' Bishop Croke, at the Bridge Hotel. Thore • was an excellent spread provided, and about thirty gentlemen sat down. Mr. Kearey, ' the manager of the Government tramway, ', presided, having on his right the guest of the evening, Bishop Croke, and Major Keddell, and on his left the District Engineer, Mr. Aitkin. The vice-chair was occupied by the Rev. Father O'Reilly. A letter of apology was read by the chairman from the Rev. Mr. Scott. After partaking of &■ good dinner, well served up, an agreeable programme of toasts was gone through, and a very pleasant evening spent. — [Correspondent, ]
