Grahamstown, Tuesday, 10 a.m. Caledonian. — The manager reports : "Can see a little gold in the riae from the inter- 1 mediate level north. No other change," -- 8 p.m. The lode continues to look- well. More specimens were taken out to-day, There are over lcwt. in hand.

Tookey's Company. — The following tribute crushings were finished to-day : Son- ' den's, 74oz.6dwt.6gr , from 18 tons ; Grigg's, 370z.,3dwt., from 50 tons ; Lowes, 2980z. I3dwt., placing the total gold obtained since Lowes crushing, commenced in the early part of last month, at 641 oz. 9dwt. melted gold. Sink to Rise Tribute.— 3o tons of stone have yielded 31oz. 7dwt.

4 GoiiDfinch Tribute. — A small parcel of stone has produced 4oz. 18dwt. of gold. Market quiet. Sales : Caledonian, £15 10s., £15 7s. 6d., closed firmer, buyers £16 ; Cure, 325.; Alburnia, 81a.; Watchman, 225.; Queen of the May, 65. ; Black Angel, 355. The Grahamstown Wesleyan Church anniversary soiree is numerously attended tonight.
