SPECIAL PRIZES.

A Silver Medal wi'l be given by his Worship the Mayor of Auckland for the most useful and best made Article of Local Industry from th« City of Auckland. A Silver Cup, value £5, will be given by Messrs. Henderson and McLeod for the best yearling by "Northern Hero." £6 wi>l be given by Mr. John Fisher, Butcher, for the best Fat Ox. Mr. Fisher will give £5 next year for best Stall-fed Ox. £5 will be given by Mr. A. Dornwell, Butcher, for the beat Fat Cow, bred end fattened in the province. £5 will be given fo- the best Bull, and £5 for the best Cow, exhibited ov the day of the Show. A first prize of £5 will be awarded for the be3t combiped II owing and Reaping Machine ; second f rise, £2 10s. A prize of £10 will be awarded for the best Reaping Machine, with side delivery. A t-rlze of £1 10s. will be awaided for the best Horse Rake. A prse of £fi will be awarded for the b'st half-ton of Flax in bales. • H. Kohr, Jeweller, will give a Cup for the best collection of Draining Tiles.

REGULATIONS.

1. Prizes will be awaided for any Agricultural Implement or Machine other than above enumerated, whether made in the colony or imported, if deemed of sufficient me.it, and as the funds at the disposal of the Committee w-'l allow. 2. Implements and Machines to compete in their several classes. 3. A day /to be hereafter named) will be appointed on which a trial of the Implements and Machines selected for that purpose by the Judges will be made, and uhe prises will be awarded in accordance with respective merits. 4. Space wi'l be set apart for extra Stock of all classes, ai.d prizes will be awarded if deemed ol sufficient merit, and as the funds will allow. 5. Prize* will be awarded for any article whatever of " Local Industry," if deemed of suifacient merit. 6. All entries to be addressed to the Secretary, and left at th? Poßl-office, Otalnibu, not later than Saturday, 26th October, at 6 o'clock p.m. 7. Foims of ceitiflca'es of entry can be obtained on application to the Secretary, Otahuhu, and of Messrs. A. Buckland, and Hunter and Nolan, Auckland. 8. Entrance fees— Horses and cattle, 2s. 6d. per head ; Sheep, per pen, 25. ; Swine, ?s. per head ; and Poultry, 2s. per coop. 9. Tieke s of admission for the Stock will be given to exhibitors on payment of the entrance fee ; and no Stock wiUbeadneittrd withoutsueh certificate. 10. Stock w>ll be received on the morning of the Show umU 30 o'clock, nnd Stock received after 10 o'clock and up 10 30 v» >11 be charged double fee, after which no Stock wi'l be admitted. 11. All Horse Stock to be led. 12. No Stock to be removed from the yards before 4 o'clock p m 13. Stw.vards to cause any Sheep to be shorn at th* request of the Judges 14. Tho Sheep-sheaung to commence at 2.30. Tim* allowed : 40 minutes. 15. The age o* Cattle to date from the Ist of July. 16. The Judges may withhold prizes when there is only one exhibit. 17. No piize wi'l be awarded for extra exhibits, if the Prize List contains a class or section in which the same can compete. 18. The prices of all Exhibits, except Live Stock, to be attached to them if possible. 19. All Exhibits to be the bona fide property of the Exhibitor. 20 No person except Stewards and those in charge of Stcck will be allowed iv the grounds during the time the Judges are adjudicating. 21. In case of any dispute arising, the decision of the Managing Committee to be final.
