POLICE COURT.— Friday. [Before his Worship the Mayor, and S. Kempthorne, Esq , J.P.]
Drunkard. — Mary Collins for being drunk was sentenced to pay a fine of \oa. and costs, or suffer 48 hours' imprisonment. Larceny. — William Sniale was charged with having stolen fruit to the value of 3s.,and 9s. in silver. Prisoner admitted taking two shillings, two sixpences, and a fourpennybit. — Sentenced to be imprisoned for 24 hours, and to be once privately whipped. This was all the business.
