The extraordinary yield from the Green, Harp of lloz. to the ton of geueral stuff has given a considerable impetus to mining on j the beach ranges, and prices have generally advanced. Tho Venus are prepaiing a ] crushing of 15 tons from the surface reef. This stono prospects well. The Shamrock have also a fair prospect of gold in a leader lately struck in their drive. On the Tokatea range the Tokatea Company are getting out large quantities of stone for another crushing. Tho mine is looking well. The Bank of New Zealand have now got iuto softer country, and are pushing on vigorously. In | another week they expect to be on gold. The Harbour View have not yet struck any gold in the lower level, but are in expectation of coming on to something soon. Tho Royal i Oak aro getting good stone." j
