AMUSEMENTS.
City Hall. — Tho Minstrels played lasb ni"ht to a tolerably well-filled hall. There is always abundance of variety in the songs, rnrl all that portaiiia to the terpsichorean department ; the quartettes and concerted pieces are always admirably rendered}; and nowhere in the city, at the present time, can a more pleasant evening be passed by those who are foud of good singiu*, wellarranged choruses, aud instrumental music. There is a dance danced by two of the troupe called "Golden Shoe Danco." To those who have seen it we need say nothing. To those who have not, we may state that it is a performance woith twice the money to \vitnes3 th.it will be asked for the whole entertainment It is a dance sui generis. Nothing was ever seen like unto it before, and nothing will bo seen li c to it again. It is, of the kind, a very clever performance. We have seen many " nigger" daucea— from the "Silver Belt Champion Dance" to the "Oronoko Breakdown"— but the " Golden Shoe Dance" is something superlatively different to any or all of them. On Monday evening tho Minstrels open at the Prince of Wales Theatre with the opera of "The Bohemian Gal"— in black. Prince ov Wales.— This evening Mr. and Mrs Ryan have beeu tendered a benefit bv Miss Colville, Mr. Hoskins, and seVeral of the members of the late company. Tho comedy of "Naval Engagements" will be played, with Mr. Hoskius as Lieutenant Kingston, and Miss Colville as Miss Mortimer.. It is r.lso announced that Peter Yragnizan will appear, for the first time, aa Louis in " The Corsican Brothers^' " The Loan of a Lover," with Miss Clara Stephenson aa Gertrude, will comprise tho afterpiece. These should be enough, both of talent and variety, to ensure a crowded house and a good night's entertainment. The Gourlay Family will give a few Draw-ing-room Entertainments in the Theatie Royal, previous to their departure for Sydney. The entertainments will commence on Monday evening. ;
