POLICE COURT.— Friday. [Before J. O. Neill and H. D. Morpeth, Esqs., J.P.s.]
Drunkenness. — Four persons were each fined in the usual manner for this offence.
Malicious Injury to Property.—Anthony E. Co wen was charged by A. Christy with breaking a pane of glass, value sa. Sentenced to be imprisoned.
Vagrant Act. — Thomas Price waa charged with a breach of the above Act, by making use of obscene language in the public streets. Pined 10s. and costs, or to suffer 48 hours' imprisonment.
Larceny.— Henry Moor was charged with stealing from the premises of Henry Fullar one half- pint measure, valued at sa. On the application of Mr. B.oham the case was remanded till Monday.
Breach c" Impounding Act, —James Hennings, for a breach ot the above Act by allowing a horse to Btray in. the public streets, was fined 2a. 6d. and costs.— John Austin and James Bray, for similar oftencco, were each mulcted in the same penalty.
Municipal Police act.— Jonn Mcuermott was charged with allowing his horse and cart to stand in Queen-street without anyone to look after them. A witness was brought, who proved that the defendant was in the carb and had the reins in his hand when the horse suddenly started off, and he considered it purely accidental. Case dismissed.
