DRURY: EXPECTED VISIT OF DR. CROKE.
Intelligence has reached the settlers in the Diggers', Maketu, and Tuimata Settlements that the Eight Eev. Dr. Croke, the Catholic Bishop of Auckland, is to pay them a visit in the early portion of the present week. The people of his communion m these parts hail the announcement with great satisfaction, and, judging from the general feeling, I predict » hearty welcome for the Bishop. It is also believed that, in company with the Eev. James McDonald, Dr. Croke will vißit the Tuakau, Pukekohe, Patumahoe, Waipipi, and other districts before his return to your city.— [Corresnonclwt.]
