The holes in her sides were blocked up during the nis*ht, and men kept pumping ; but shortly after tne vessel floated with the flood- tide, the hole forvvaid burst open, and the City filling again went down in deeper water, her poop railing being covered at high- water. William Grant, the diver, was engaged, went down, and secured the fastenings of the hole. On the tide leaving the vessel, men were again set to the pumps, and they continued to work at them throughout the day. Last night at high Water another attempt was made, and witli the assistance of the Colonial Government p. a. Luna the ship was floated further inshore. It is confidently expected that the gaod skip will h& aßoat and ready to be berthed at the wliarf this afternooa. All Jasfc flight, men were engaged in pumping the water out of her.
