THEATRE ROYAL.
Ihts neat little place of amusement was again well attended last night by an appreciative audience. We are glad to see this, beoange this is the only place of amusemeai now regularly opeu m the city. "Alice Grey, or the Moral Brand, M waa prodxiced, with great snooeas. The Lancashire Bellrmgera have invested this place with new j charms. The sweetness with which the I various songs are rung out proves an irresistible charm to all who have the plaasure of listening to them. On their former visit to this city they gainedgolden opinions, and, so far as their performances have as yet gone on this visit, tbey have jus. ly sustained the reputation they had formerly acquired. Many of the airs are those we have ail been accustomed to hear in childhood, and the sweet tenderness with which they are played by this company brings the thoughts of the listeners involuntarily back to those happy days. We have little doubt that they will have a successful run here on this occasion. — To-night a fresh programme will be provided.
