ACCIDENT TO THE MOANATAIARI TRAMWAY.

The fire -which rasted in the Moanataiari on Tuesday, although it soon exhausted itself, did not pass over without causing damage to the Moanataiari tramway. Several large trees which overhung the tramway took fire near hh.& roots, and fell on to the line on JN T os. 4 and 5 sections, breaking the line and trestle-work, and causing damage to the extent of about £30.
