BOILING-DOWN COMPANY.
A meeting of shareholders in the BoilingDown Company was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at Sceats'a British Hotel, Queen-street. Mr. Joseph May was in the chair. Various matters of a business nature were discussed. It was resolved to accept Mr. Jamea Wallace's offer of one acre of ground at £4 rental, Mr. Kerap's tender of £74 for the brickwork was accepted. Two gentlemen were appointed a committee" to solicit the taking-up of shares in the company. It was resolved that the company's bankers be the Bank of New Zealand. A building committee, consisting of Messrs. Runciman and Shepherd, was appointed, and empowered to make a contract for the building. The meet'ingthenadjourned for a fortnight. Should any intermediate business arise, necessitating an earlier meeting, due notice of such will be given.
