THE THEATRES.

PRINCE OP WALES. The announcement that Shakspeare's play of "The Merry Wives of Windsor" would be produced at th& Prince of Wales Theatre last eveniug, had the effect of drawing a very fair attendance down-stairs. Sir John Falstaff, Mrs. Ford, and Mrs. Page were fairly sustained respectively hy Mr. O Bnen, Mrs. Walter Hill, and Mrs. McGowan. The performance concluded with the farce of "Cool as a Cucumber," in which Barry O'Neill appeared. To-night the same programme will he produced.

THEATRE ROYAL. At th,e Theatre Royal last evening there was^S very fair attendance, to witness the" drama, in three acts, of "The Poor Strollers," in which Mrs. Jackson sustained the character of Lady Cornelia Hailstone, and Mr. J. Rayner that of Maurice Warner, in a very creditable manner. The rest of the characters we're also very fairly sustained. The announced farce was "A.S.S." To-night, the same programme will be repeated.
