SUDDEN DEATH.

We have again the painful duty to record another oftthese sudden deaths which hare become so frecpient of late. The following are the particulars so far as we have learned them : — It appears that a blacksmith named James Farrell had left the Kawakawa coal mines some eight or ten days ago for the purpose of coming up to Auckland to obtain medical advice as to some syinpto ns of illness which he fancied he was labouring under. He applied to Dr. Lee, who has been attending him since, Farrell suffering frem disease of the heart. Last night Farrell j .resolved to return to the Bay. Shortly j after going on board the ' Samson' ho died. We believe Mr. barrel! had been informed by Dr. Lee, before he went ou board the steamer, that he was nob to be surprised if he .died on th£ passage. He leaves a wife and a large family, and •strhether provided for or not we have not heard. Ko4nquest will be held upon his rem'aiaa, the doctor having given a certificate that the cause of death was chronic disease of th«f heart.
