THE PRINCE ALFRED LIGHT HORSE.
This troop of cavalry met on Tuesday April 12, at the Whau, under the command of Lieutenant Smith and Cornet Motion, for the purpose of undergoing the annual inspection. At a meeting of the Prince Alfred Light Horse, held on Monday, April 18, at their head-quarters, Edgcombe's Hotel, the Great North Road, ifc was proposed by the officers of the corps that an amalgamation with the Auckland Troop should be effected, and the proposed change was unanimously agreed to. A council was then nominated to inaugurate the pioposed alterations, and the Commanding Officer ex officio, Lieutenant and Adjutant Snell, and four of the members were appointed.
