HAWKE'S BAY.
The Hawke's May Herald of the 15th says : — "Notwithstanding the unfavourable state of the weather, Mr. Stuart's sale, yesterday, "went off with great spirit, very good prices having heen realised. Young steers brought from 3/. 3a to 5/. 53 ; heifers, U. 10s to 4:1. 23 6d ; cows, 51. 15s to 11. 10s. It was gsnerally remarked that prices were quite in favour of the seller.",
