Claim, of William McGregor. — Mr. i Turton, jun., appeared for claimant. Claimant bases his claim to the reward on bhe fact that he, in company with the ; Messrs. Ring, his mates, was the first discoverer of gold on the banks of the Kapanga River, Coromandel, in 1852, when pros- 1 pecting for alluvial gold. He had been living at Kikowhakarere since 1545, and he had never heard of gold being found in this province until they made thia discovery. — Moll, April 7.
