The following letter, by Tarapipipi Te Kopara, denying that the natives of Piako or Waihou have supplied arms and ammunition to Te Kooti, has been forwarded to us for publication :—: — "Piako, Pepuere 14, 1870. E horihori tena korero, tenei matou katoa kei 'Te Pai o Hauraki ahakoa Hauhau, ahakoa kupapa. E hara ia, Te Tatana Parawera raua ko tana pakeha, tenei raua kei toku aroaro c noho ana. Here are we all at Te Pai o Hauraki, both Hauhaus and Kupapas. Nor can blame be attached to Tatana Parawera and hia pakeha [they have not supplied any powder to Te Kooti] : they are here sitting down before me.
