Mr. C Davis sold by public auction at his mart, Queen-street, to-day, the following propei ties : — An allotment in Eokeby-sfcreet, having a frontage of 30 feet, with a substantial dwelling-house erected, for the sum of £153 ; a cottage and allotment in Bakerstreet, for £76 ; an allotment in Howe-street, with cottage erected, for £27 ; an allotment in Wellington-street, with tyro dwellinghouses erected, sold for £350. The other properties advertised were withdrawn. To-day Mr. A E. Cohen held a trade sale of clothing, drapery, &c. : the attendance was liniibed. The following prices were realised : — 1 case shepherd's plaid trousers, 32a 6d ; 1 case tweed coats, 12s 6d ; 2 bales grey calico, 3.^d to 7d ; 3 eases mole trousers, 5a 4d ; 2 cases super tweed diagonal trousers, 10a 3d; 2 cases brown cotton half -hose, 4a; 1 case Croyden sheeting, Is 5d ; 1 case f and f mohair, os ; 2 cases jean shirting, 5d ; 2 cases jXTper collars, 4% Gd ; 1 case white shirts, 4s.
