SALE OF THE SCREW STEAMER 'ST. KILDA.' NOTICE is hereby given that sealed TENDERS will be received at the Marine Department, Wellington, up to noon, 26th February next, from such persons as may be willing to offer for the purchase of the Colonial Government Steam Vessel ' ST, KILDA.' The SSt. Kilda' was built at Port Glasgow in 1SG1, is 91 tons legister, and 30 nominal horse-power ; .schooner-rigged ; carries a large cargo, and is paiticularly well adapted for carrying wool and other bulky produce ; has recently received a thorough repair in boiler and machinery, is well equipped, and could be sent to sea with few hours' notice. The vessel may ho viewed by a permit from the Marine' Depaitiuent, any -y\ oiking day prior to the day of tender, between the hours of S a.m. and 5 p m. The offer to be a lump sum in the state and condition she now lies, including her boiler, engines, masts, yards, sails, and other stores, of which latter an inventory can be seen on board, or at the Marine Department during office hours. C'oalo and other stores on board, not included in tho inventory, may be had at valuation pi ice. The vessel is to be taken away, with all faults, within teu clays from the date of puichase, the purchasers first pioducing written acknowledgment of the piuclia^e money having been paid. NOTICE is hereby given that the Commissioners under the City Board Act, 18G3, the City Board, 1803, Amendment Act, and the City Board Act Amendment Act, 1865, intend upon MONDAY, the 14th day of February, 1870, to make a GENERAL RATE of EIGHTPENCE per Pound, and also a SEWERAGE RATE of ONE PENNY per Pound on the Rateable Value of Property Assessable under the said Act and Amendment Acts, from the period from 1st December, i860, to the 31st May, 1870 ; and that a statement of the proposed Rate is deposited in the office of the Collector of Rates, Canada, Buildings, Queen-street, for inspection by the ratepayers, of all which notice is hereby given in teims of the said Act and Amendment Acts.
