Dettnkenness. — John Wynfield, Daniel Bassett, John Lawaon, and James Murray were punished in the usual manner for the aboY© offence.
Indecent Exposube.— John Mawson was cTiarged with indecently exposing himself in Queen-street. — Mr. Naughton said that, as the defendant had already been charged with drunkenness, the offence he was now indicted for might be taken as part of that offence, and he thought a reprimand would meet the necessities of the case. — The Bench said that in conaideration of Mr. Naughtou'a statement no fine would be inflicted, but prisoner should take warning by the position h» then stood in. Vagexncy. — Eliza Yorke wai charged with committing a breach of the Vagrancy Aot by being without any lawful means of support. — Prisoner pleaded not guilty.— Detective Terna« han deposed that prisoner obtained her living by prostitution. She had frequently been brought up before that Court for drunkenness, and once for vagranoy. She was in a situation until recently, but could not keep it. — Prisoner was sentenced to three months' imprisonment with hard labour.
Bbexch of the Municipal Police Act.— Thomas Boland was chargtd with a breach of the Municipal Police Act, by neglecting to have the name and residence of the owmer legibly painted on a cart driven by him.— Mr. Ireland, owner of the cart, appeared, and pleaded guilty, stating that the offence arose through inadrertenae, and the name had been subsequently painted th«reon. The Bench imposed a fine of 10b., and costs. Anotheh Case. — William Mitchell, charged ■with an offence similar to the previous one, was mulcted in the same penalty as that inflicted in the other case. This concluded the business.
