7he Wairoa, Pspakura, Drury, Pokeno, Bombay, Maketu, and Razorback Rangers, Militia, and Volunteers, are stationed here under Major Clare, and Captain Feicival is also here as tbe Commissariat officer. Mauku, Waiuku, and the other settlements have still a goodly body of able-bodied men left who know pretty well bow to handle a rifle in case of need, and have proper officers to command them.
