THE SUPERINTENDENCE
There has beeu a good deal of speculation aa to who was to be the candidate for the Superintendence" in opposition to the present holder of the office, My. John Williamson. We believe the matter is now decided, and that the gentleman who will contest the election with Mr. Williamson will be Dr. Pollen. Without at present going into the merits or demerits of the two gentlemen, we may say, what every old settler knows, that Dr. Pollen is a man of high character, and possesses first-rate parliamentary and business abilities. — Thames Advertiser.
