The company's ground extends from the Waiotahi to the Moanataiari) and occupies a first-class position, adjoining the Carpenters' on tha Moanataiari and the Australian on the Waiotahi. It comprises 23 men's ground, held under lease, some of wbioh was previously worked as olaims, and very good lodes exposed. Under the present management the property is becoming « Rluable. —Times, July 24. The main shaft of the Golden Crown No. 2 Goldmining Company waa this day commenced on Graham's Town Flat. The grouad of the Company is splendidly situated, being next to the Golden Gate Claim, and dead on the strike of the celebrated Golden Crown lodo, which has been traced by survey through th» centre of the claim, and into the sea. No doubt every inch of ground in this part of the Flat 13 of immenie value, and thB estimation it is held in by opeculatoro was evinced yesterday by the •prices paid for Golden Gate stock, The Bragamza leasehold is p»g and peg with tbe Australasian Gold-mining Company, Carpenters', and other good claims ; large and well-defined leaders have been discovered, from one of which a trial crushing gave a return of over three ounces per ton. Southern capitalists are largely interested, and the leafie is to be worked in the ino->t systematic manner. — JSvening Star, July 23.
