Previous convictions, none. , Robert Martin, alias Morton, arrived by the ' Star of the South,' free, Irish, labourer, aged 20, single, Church of England, read and write ; committed March 16, 1869, by E.M., Auckland, for stealing from the premises to the value of £5 ; second count, stealing from the premises. Previous convictions : Resident Magistrate's Court, Onehunga, 23rd December, 1867, for larceny, 14 days' hard labour. 2. Supreme Court, Auckland, 2nd March, 1868, for forgery and uttering, 18 months' hard labour from date of committal, 18th January, 1868. Previous convictions — 1. Supreme Court, Auckland, 6th June, 1865, for stealing in a dwelling-house, 18 months* hard labour. 2. Supreme Court, Auckland, 6th June, 1865, for stealing in a dwelling-house to the value of £5, 18 months' hard labour, to commence on expiration of the above sentence. 3. Supreme Court, Auckland, 7th September, 1865, for escape, 6 months' hard labour, to commence on expiration of sentences passed on the 6th of June, 1865. 4. Supreme Court, Auckland, 11th September, 1865, for stealing from a shop, 18 months' hard labour, to commence on expiration of sentence passed on the 7th September, 1865. Henry Walker, arrived by the 'Armstrong' in 1865, free, English, shoemaker, 22 years, single, Church of England, read and write ; committed April 21, by R.M. Shortland, for stealing from the premises to the value of £5. Previously coHvicted by the R.M., Shortland, June 23,— for vagraicy, two months' hard labour ; for assault, two months' hard labour ; for contempt, 14 days' hard labour. John Holland, arrived by the ' Nelson ' in 1863, free, English, shoemaker, 23 years, single, Church of England, neither read nor write; committed April 17, by R.M., Shortland, for stealing from the premises to the value of £5.
