THE NATHAN TROUPE.
Theee was an excellent house at the Duke of Edinburgh Theatre last evening, which, considering the counter attractions elsewhere, speaks volumes as to the popularity of the above talented little artistes. The performance commenced with the farce of "The Irish Tiger," in which the character of Paddy "Ryan was sustained by little Marion Nathan in her own inimitable manner. All the characters were well sustained, but this little prodigy so engrosses the attention of the audience that in reality she may almost be said to form not merely the soul of the piece, but the piece itself. A cornet duet by Masters E. and L. Nathan, and dances by Miss Maggie Knight and Mr. Chambers, were well given, and were followed by the burlesque of "The Happy Man," at which, although we have so often seen it played before, we laughed as heartily as ever, the' comicalities of our mimic defender being as fresh as ever. The pantomimic sketch of " La Danseuse Distraite " brought the entertainment to a close.
