LAUNCESTON.
The Launceston Examiner of the 17th ultimo reports :—: — The markets for grain and flour, bran, &c, are altogether without animation, so that prices remain without change, and quite nominal. Flour, £14 to £15 } wheat, 6s ; oats, 3s ; bran, Is 8d to la 9d ; English barley, 5* 6d ; hay is very plentiful, and quoted at £4. There is also an abundance of potatoes on hand and coming forward ; they are worth £3 15s, without bags. The brig • Syreu' will take 50 tons of the last named to ; N ewcast'e. lv dairy produce we quote — Potted butter, wholesale, 6d ; fresh butter, retail, lOd to Is per lb. ; prims bacon, lOd to Is per lb. ; fowls, }:er pair, 4* to 4s 6J ; ducks, per pair, 5s to 5s 6d : colonial cheese, Is to Is 2d per lb. ; English cheese, Is 6d to Is 8d ; eggs. lOd per dozen.
