Ik yesterday's impression we mentioned the fact that the Maori prisoners had made good their escape into the (Jrewera country, having encountered and driren back the expedition that started from Poverty Bay under Colonel Whitmore and Captain Biggs, and also that which went by the Wairoa under Captain Richardson. Jfrom the Hawke's Bay papers received by the 'Ahuriri' yesterday, we give some details of the fighting
