MR. BUOSLAND'S REPORT. On Saturday last, hay wm without alteration to values. Not many hones were offered far sale at; the auction. Useful animals of all clasiea were in fair inquiry, at full rates ; and several sales of good draught stock have during the week taken place, aij prices varying from £30 to £35 each. At the Triangle, on Tuesday, about 5,0 head of cattle, principally yearlings, and 300 ewes were penned. There was a steady competition for al} stook offered ; calves brought from 3Qs to 5,5s j yearlings, 60s 6d to 70a ; and 18 months old, 125s each ; aged merino ewes, 4s 3d to 6s each j half-bred ewe*, 10s 6d e»cb. , For the fruit treei there was not muoh competition, the greater number bringing from 6d to 9d each, and the shrubs were with difficulty quitted at any price. At Remuera, on Thursday, there was a large muster of young cattle, principally from 12 to 18 months old ; they brought from £4 2s 6d to £6 15s each; calves, from £2 14m to £3 ss; dairy cows were in moderate supply and in request; they brought from £11 5s to £14 17s 6d ; dry oows, from £1 to £10. About one-half the cattle, ex ' Kate Waters,' 70 head, were penned ; they met with a steady s*H at about 35s the 1001b. Of Auqkland-fatted cattle there were 38 penned, and those brought about 37s 6d the 1001b. The fat sheep market was principally supplied by wethers from Napier; they' brought from 12s 91 to 22a each ; 450 were sold. A few pens of good long-woolled wethers brought from 28s to 29s each. The pig market was more full than is usu.il with medium-sized pigs of good quality; they all sold freely at full prices. 1 WILLIAM HFNTKIi AND CO.'S REPORT. At the Durham Yard*, on Saturday last, there were not so mauy horses in as usual. Best hacks sold from £*l 5s to £11 12s 6d; medium draught, horses, from £9 to £11. Oats' sold for 3s 6d per' bushel. Several loads of hay sold for 2s 3d per cwt. On Monday, at Newmarket, there was a large nnmber of cattle in, chiefly store stock. Dairy cows were in good supply, selling from £10 10s to £14. Store stock sold well : two-year. old steers, from £5 to £6 ; three-year-old steers, from £6 12s 6d to £7 10s; calves, from £2 2s 6d to £2 63 ; yearlings, from £3 to £3 5s : two-year-old heifers, from £4 10s to £6 5s each ; fat cattle were scarce, and sold from 85s to 40s per 1001b. Sheep : The market was well supplied, but not of good quality ; half-brads sold from 15s 6d to 22s 6d each ; merinos, from 8s to 11s each ; store sheep sold freely ; three-quarter-bred ewes sold for 26s each • half-bred wethew, from 13s 9d to 143 each. There were no pigs in the market. At Otahuhu, on Tuesday last, there was a good supply of cattle in, which sold at good prices ; a pen of two aud three-year-old steers, mixed, sold for £6 15s each; calves sold from £1 12a 6d to £1 193 6d ; yearlings, £3 each.
