TO CORRESPONDENTS.
FIiOUR MILIS FOB THE COUNTRY. — Our Mangapai COTrespondent, in his letter of May 29, published by us yesterday, says : " Our Agricultural Committee are very thankful to the gentleman who kindly wrote under the head of ' Flour Mills,' and are anxiouily looking out for his promised further favour." In reply to our correspondent, we may state that we should be most happy to publish the desired information if it could be procured. "We hare called on the gentleman referred to. and he regrets that, owing to the difficulty of obtaining information ai to the price of materials and the possibility of procuring them, he ii unable at present to furnish us with detaili. He promises, however, that, should any gentleman from the Mangapai district have occasion to come into town, he will be most happy to afford him every assistance in procuring information ; and he thinks a personal interview with a person intimately acquainted with the exact requirements of the Mangapai district, and the character of the site on which it i* proposed to erect the flour mill, will afford him the best opportunity of acquiring information which be cannot otherwise obtain. Ho also states that a principal would be more likely to piocure information than one who could less afford to devote the necessary time and attention to the matter. We cannot be accountable, under any circumstance*, for rejected manuscripts. No letter will be inserted unless the real name and address of the writer, as a guarantee of good faith, be communicated to the Editor. Letters intended for insertion in any other newspaper can only be published by us as advertisements. We are not in any way identified with the opinions expressed by correspondents.
