The brig Rita, Captain Edwards, cleared at the Customs yesterday for Tahiti, with afull miscellaneous cargo, as per exports. She wilt put in at the Bay of Islands to discbarge a' shipment of '439 bars of railway iron, and a quantity of stores. The steamer Lord Ashley takes her departure for th,e South on Friday. I The schooner Percy will sail to-day for Mercury Bay, in ballast, in charge of Captain Kirby — Captain^ Downes, who brought her here from Lyttelton, ttill remaining an inmate of the Provincial Hospital. " (The tteamer Enterprise No. 2 returned from" Shortland yesterday afternoon, with 53 passengers. {The favourite cutter Wangarei arrived yesterday afternoon from Wtungarei and Mangapai, with 11 head of cattle, » quantity of settlers' produce, and six passengers. Experienced light' winds and calms throughout. She leaves again this evening at nine o'clock. The schooner Tawera, Captain Kennedy, > arrived from Lyttelton at 11 o'clock on Monday night, with 610 sacks wheat, consigned to Mr. J. S. Macfarlane ; and the schooner Boyd from Cape Runaway, vii' Opotiki and Mercury Bay, with 47,000 shingles, 2 tons of kauri gum, &c. The schooner Jane, Captain Moller, took her departure for Tauranga last' night, with a full cargo of stores ; the Zephyr for the Bay of Islands, with 88 bars of iron, &c. ; the cutter Hero for Whangarei, with stores and seven passengers ; the Julia for Tapu Creek, with sundriei ; and the "Waterlily for Mercury Bay.,
