Her Majesty' 8 s.s. Brisk will leave for the Bay of Islands to-day, with his Excellency the Governor on board, who proceeds thither for the purpose of being present at the great native meeting which is to be held on the 17th instant at that place. The Colonial Government p.s. Sturt was employed last night in hauling off the schooner Albatross, which was aground in Freeman's Bay. She will leave for the Bay of Islands to-day, with a large number of gentlemen. The steamers Enterprise No. 2, Tauranga, and Midge left yesterday for the Thames, with a large number of passengers ; and the Tauranga returned in the evening, with about 70 passengers. The schooner Ivanhoe sailed yesterday for Mangonui, with sundries. The schooner Sea Breeze sailed last evening for tne Bay of Islands, with stores.
