TIMBER WHARVES. • SAMUEL COCHRANE & SON Have been favoured with instructions from his Honor John Williamson, Esq., Superintendent of the province, to lease by public auction, at the Land Mart, Fort-street, on Friday, the 17th instant, at 12 o'clock, -| PT ALLOTMENTS ON CUSTOM-HOUSE-JLO STREET, TO BE USED AS TIMBER WHARVES, Having a frontage of 40 feet each to the river. CONDITIONS OF LEASE OF PART OF CUSTOM-HOUSE-STREET WHARF. The allotments to be let shall consist of portions of the Custom-house-street Wharf, measuring 40 feet from east to west, by 47 feet deep, and extending from Custom-house-street to within three feet of the Timber Wharf, the said three feet being reserved for a footway. 1. No house or office shall be erected on any allotment without the written consent of the Superintendent. 2. The Harbour-master or Wharfinger may order the removal, at the lessee's expense, of all timber or other materials so laid down as to encroach beyond the limits of the allotment, or to interfere with the 3-feet passage, nor of any material which may be offensive or a nuisance. 3. The Harbour-master or Wharfinger may remove, at the lessee's expense, all goods of such weight as may in his opinion injure Wharf, so as to render the same safe. 4. The regulations applying 'to vessels at the Queen-street Wharf shall apply to all vessels using the Custom-house-street Wharf. 5. The tolls exigible on goods and carriages of every description using the Queen-street Wharf shall be exacted from the persons leasing these allotments or using the Custom-house-street Wharf. 6. The lessees of these allotments may be debarred the use of the Queen-street Wharf for all vessels which, in the opinion of the Harbour-master, can load or discharge at such allotments. The lease of these allotments to commence on the 18th April, 1868, and expire on the 18th April, 1869. One quarter's rent to be paid in advance on the fall of the hammer.
