Melbourne, March 31. Parliament met, and adjourned foe a week, in order to give Mr. Kiddell time to complete his arrangements. - Whelan and Cunningham were executed this morning. forty-five Ministerialists met privately and resolved to support Mr. McCulloch. A preliminary meeting is initiated for the raising of an Alfred Memorial. Flour has risen to £20 10a., and there are more buyers than sellers ; candles have risen Id* Arrived : ' Salsette,' ship, from London, 123 days out. . _. _ , ol
Adelaide, March 31. Ruin is prevalent through the colony j the weather to-day is fine &nd cool. The address of condolence to the Queen was signed by 61,722 persons. The committee waited on the Acting Governor to-day, and he promised so to forward i f that it should, come under the personal observation of the Queen. The corn market is very firm at yesterday's quotations.
