THB WRONGS OP IRELAND.
To th« Editor of the Daily Sommrar Cboss. Sib,— l quite agree with you that the Feni»n conspiracy is not Another Dame for frish Catholicism. But when I read such letters as those of the Bishop of Limerick and his clergy, and tee requiems performed in Tuam Cathedral in such imposing form by Archbishop Hale and his suffragans, for those murderers of the Manchester policeman, I cannot think that your comparison of fenianism to a drop in a backet of water is just. Tbe "British Lay Catholic" carefully aroids a •ingle specific statement in his long letter. It is the usual style of declaimers who by vague language stir up their own feelings, and the feelings of others. What are the wrongs of Ireland ? This is the question which these spouters are bound to answer, and which they dare not face. Bead all that they write and say, and you will never get a clear categorical answer. - " British Lay Catholic " implies that the wrong is, being nded by pike and gun, which we know is fake. Let him, like an honest man, without spouting or rambtine into the past, state what are the wrongs of Ireland.— l am, 4c, An Iblshman.
