Falcon.— The men of H.M.S. Falcon manned the rigging yesterday, and gave three hearty cheers for tbeir late commander (Captain Blake), as the steamship Auckland passed under her stem on tearing this harbour for Sydney. The p.s. Enterprise.— The paddle-steamer Enterprise No. 2 was detained from running to the Thames yesterday, in order to undergo her usual periodical inspection, by Mr. Stewart, C.E., Government Inspector of Steam Vessels at this port. The Schooner Ivanhoe.— The schooner Ivanhoe was taken on the Patent Slip, at the North Shore, yesterday, in oider to be inspected and overhauled, after which she will resume the Mangonni trade. The Huntress.— The hull of the paddle-steamer Huntress has been converted into a coal-hulk, and was brought over from the Noith Shore yards yesterday, in order to receive her first instalment of Bay of Islands coals from the schooner Zephyr. She will be permanently stationed in this harbour to supply the steamers using Bay of Island* coal. The s.s. Tauranga, Captain Sellars, steamed for Kauwaeranga, Thames, yesterday morning, with a large number of passengers. The brig Corsair, Captain Bidgood, sailed yesterday morning for Whangapoua mills, where she will load 100,000 feet of Umber for the Melbourne market. The as. Midge.— The s.s. Midge has been laid up for a thorough overhaul, and will undergo sundry alterations with a view of increasing her comfort as a passenger vessel, before resuming tne Thames trade. When the steam-tender is completed and plying on the Thames river, the Midge will make daily trips to that place. Thames Traders. — A number of cotters from the Thames arrived in company yesterday morning, after beiog detained there tome days awaiting a favourable change of wind to take their departure. Amongst the arrival* were the Pearl, Henry, Alacrity, Alabama, Otahuhu, Tickler, Bangatira, Diamond, and Spey. The brig Pakeha entered outwards at the Customhouse, for Sydney, yesterday.! The Pearl.— The outter Pearl, which was dismasted at Kanwaeranga, whilst landing passengers from the s.s. Midge, has had her mast temporarily fitted, and arrived in port yesterday in company with the little fleet of coasters which came up from that pUfce The Pearl will be thoroughly overhauled, after which she will run regularly to the Thames, making alternate trips with the Severn. The Schooner Jane.— The sohooner Jane, Captain Faulkner, sen., arrived in harbour at 5 o'clock last evening from Tauranga via Kennedy's Bay, with wooL She reports haying left Auckland on the evening of the 28rd, and made the passage under reefed foresail, arriving at Tauranga on the following night. Left Tauranga on Friday, but owing to the strong head wind ran into Kennedy's Bay for shelter, and left again on Sunday, arriving here as above. Reports the schooner Kenilworth discharging her ballast at Kennedy's Bay, prior to loading timber for New Caledonia. Cargo : 6 bales, 6 bags of wool. Passengers : 7.— T. Macky and Co., agents. The Argo.— The schooner Argo, Ricketts, master, arrived last evening from Tauranga, via Tairua Mills, with 20,000 feet of sawn timber, after a long detention on the coast caused by the prevalence of gale« and adverse winds. The Schooner Sea Breizr— The schooner Sea Breeze, Captain Norris, sailed last night for Russell, Bay of Islands, with sundry merchandise, and the following passengers :— The Rev. Mr. and Mn. Rowse, Mrs. Grant, Mr. Samuels, and Captain Wright, American Consul. The Schooner Tauranga.— The schooner Tauranga, Captain Bolger, sailed last evening for the Bay of Islands, with a general cargo and the following passengers : — Mr. and Mrs. Rowse, Mr. Larkms, Mr. Parker, Mr. Callaghan, Mr. Dilton, and several families of special settlers for the Bay of Islands, numbering 17 adults and 17 children. iHB Botd —The schooner Boyd, Major, master, arrived in harbour last evening from Mercury Bay and the Bay of Plenty, with a full cargo of maize, pork, kauri gum, and other produce, having suffered considerable detention on the coast through the late se?ere weather. . The cutter Shamrock, Stephens, master, ai.ived last evening from Mercury Bay, with 16,000 feet of sawn timber. . . The cutter Alarm, Seymour, master, sailed last night for Mangawti, with passengers and general cargo. The outter Mary Ann sailed yesterday for Port Tryphen* and Port Charles, with passengers, cattle, The schooner Elizabeth Mary, Gomez, master, arrived yesterday with 50 tons of firewood from Pohoi. The ketch Cassia, Mitchell, master, brought up a cargo of firewood yestarday from Port Tryphena, Great Barrier Island, after several days' detention there through adverse winds.
