The ensigns of the various vessels — foreign an coasting — in harbour yesterday were hoisted hal mast, as a work of respect to the deceased Captai Pulham, late of the Hon. East India Company' service, whose obituary appeared in that morning's paper. The ship Siam entered outwards at the Customhouse yesterday for London. The s.s. Lord Ashley.— The P., N.Z., and A.R.M. Co. 'a s.s. Lord Ashley, Captain Worsp, left the wharf flash evening for Tauranga and Southern port 3, with a general cargo of doors, sashes, mouldings, &c, shipped by the Union Sash and Door Company to Wellington, and the following passen-ger.-):—Saloon: Miss E. White, Mr. McMullen, Colonel Haul tain, Mrs. Haultain, Mr. McDougall, Mr. Woodfield. Fore-cabin: Messrs. Hanson, J. Russell, J. Clarke, J. LincolD, J. Inglis, Misses Paton (3), Mr. H. Fletcher, Mi«s McLean. The s.S.JMidge. — The s.s. Midge, Captain Stuart, arrived from Kauwaeranga, lhames, at half-past 3t3 t o'clock yesterday morning, with 40 passengers, having left the I hames at half-past 8 ou the previous evening. Reports the schooner Sarah and cutters Diamond, Rob Roy, Catherine, and a number of other vessels lying there when she left. The cutters Frances for the Hot Springs, and Miranda for Mangapai, sailed last evening, with sundry merchandise. The cutters Alabama and Spey sailed last evening for Kauwaerani-a, Thames, with full cargoes of storea and general merchandise. The cutter Sydney, Reed, master, arrived yesterday from Kauwaeranga, Thames, with a small quantity of kauri gum. The schooners Mary from Maraitai, and Lily from Waiheke, and the cutters Maid of the Mill and Prince of Wales from Mahurangi, arrived yesterday with full cargoes of firewood. The cutter Whitby, Doughty, master, sailed last evening for OfOtiki, with a full general cargo. The cutter Petrel, Dornwell, master, sailed last night for Ooromandel, calling at Te Kuna, with a general cargo and 12 passengers. The new topsail schooner Zephyr, Captain Brown, will sail to Russell, Bay of Islands, this morning with a cargo of tramway rails, formerly a portion of the conti actors' plant of the Auckland and Drury Railway works. The s.s. Tauranga, Captain Sellars, left the Queenstreet Wharf, at noon yesterday, for Kauwaeranga, Th*me-», with sundry merchandise and about 100 passengers. The cutter Jessie brought up several bales of wool »nd settlers' produce from the Wade yesterday. 'I he cutter Glance 'sailed for Matakana, with sundry merchandise, lust evening. The cutter Wanderer, Ed-yards, master, Bailed in ballast for Coromandel yesterday. I The Victoria, Neil, master, arrived yesterday i from Mercury Bay mills, with 15,000 feet of sawn timber, and reports the shamrock loading for Auck l»nd, and the schooner Thane of Fife to sail for Dunedin, when she left. The cutter Hero, Joiner, master, will sail thi--morning for Whangarei, with sundry merchandise and seven passengers. . The cutter Orpheus, McG-urney, master, has taken her cargo of timber from the Whangapoua mills to the Thames. The cutter Morning Light, Tiller, master, arrived last evening from Mercury Bay, with 24,000 feet of sawn timber. The schooner Elf, with firewood, from Puhoi, arrived last evening. The cutter Heather Bell, Dam, master, arrived last evening from Mahurangi, with passengers and produce, after a very rapid passage.
