WAIUKU HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
On the Ist instant, pursuant to noUce issued by the Deputy-Superintendent, the principal settlers of the newly proclaimed district of Waiuku met to elect five trustee* and to make a rate under the Highways Act, 1867. Mr. Joseph May was appointed Chairman, and conducted the whole of the business in a most satisfactory manner. The trustees elected are, Messrs. Keleher, Lusk, Flavell, Campbell, and Hutchinson. A rate of one penny per acre wa» agreed to, and will in due course be collected.—[ Waiuku Correspondent.]
