PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

A General Govbrnjmnt Gazette was published last evening, containing notices that sittings of the Native Land Court would be held at Auckland on the Ist October next j and at Oruanui, Taupo, on the 28th October. The Highways Act, 1867, is declared to be m operation in tbe district of Ruatangata, and the first meeting of the electors will take place at the residence of Mr. P. Street, Ruatangata, on Tuesday* the Ist of October next, at 11 o'clock in the fore* noon. The following are the boundaries of the Ruatangata district : — Bounded on the norih-east by the Mangahahuru river, and the south-western boundaries of the Kauiihohore and Kamo blocks, and the western boundary of Mair s grant to the Whauwhau block ; on the south by the northern and western boundary of the Whauwhau block aforesaid to its westernmost angle, thence in a direct line to the south-eastern angle of the Matuarua block, and by the southern boundary of the Maruarua block aforesaid and the southern boundaries of the Mirowhakatiki and Ruatangata blocks to the "Wairoa river ; and on the not th- west by the Wairua river aforesaid to tbe points' of commencement. Mr. James Sector has been appointed Secretary and Rate-collector for the Paparoa district, Kaipara. Lists are published of names of ptrsons in whose favour Crown grants are now ready for issue at the, office of the Registrar of Deeds, High-street; .also , the schedule of assessment of the Wairau Highway District, county of Marsdep, on May 3rd, 1867* «*' the rate of 2d, pey *cr«, ~ ' ' :
