ARTIFICIAL MANURES !

ARTIFICIAL MANURES.

TO FARMERS AND OTHERS.

"W. J. HURST AND CO.

DESIRE to call the attention of settlers to the following List of MANURES specially selected for their adaptability to the soils of this province, and with each of which Guaranteed Analysis can be obtained.

DISSOLVED BONES, OR SUPERPHOSPHATE OF LIMB.

30 Tons are now landing ex ' Mary Shepherd,' from one of the best Scotch manufactories, containing, by Dr. Andersons (F.R.S.) analysis, 2910 per cent, soluble phosphates, with 1£ per cent, of ammonia. The value of thia Manure for creating a rapid growth, and being obnoxious to the insect world, is too well known to require remark.

MALDEN ISLAND GUANO.

50 Tons, ex 'Hercules,' a direct importation, best known a« Phospho-Guano ; is said to have been used with much success in the other colonies. A copy of an article setting forth at length its virtues, from the local journals, can be obtained on application. It likewise, from its large per-centage of soluble phosphates, appears to warrant the conclusion it is most valuable.

BOLIVIAN GUANO has been found to answer remarkably. A cargo is shortly expected per ' Waverley.'

BONEDUST,

from long and successful use, has justly earned the first place in the farmer's mind. It is the ambition of the undersigned to furnish them with a genuine, unadulterated article, and at the lowest rate possible. Fifty tons are landing ex 'Kate,' of their usual quality guaranteed free from foreign substances.
