Samuel Worms, John McGinn, and Richard Philoy were punished for drunkenness. Jk.S3A.OIT. William Cartwright was charged with assaulting Jacob Thomas, by striking him on the face with a stick. Remanded till to-day. BIOTOT7S CONDUCT OF BOIKD SHIP. John McKay and Peter Van Dorst, seamen of the * John Scotfc,' were charged with riotous conduct on board that vessel. Both prisoners pleaded guilty, and were sentenced to pay a fine of 10a. and coats, or to be imprisoned for 48 hours. LAKOENY. John Galbraith was charged with stealing a coat from the premises of P. H. Ibbetson, Newmarket. William Sadgrove, groom, in the employment of Commissary-General Ibbetson, deposed to having left the coat on a bed, on Friday last. Detective Ternaban deposed to having found the coat at prisoner's lodgings. Prisoner stated that he had, in his hurry, taken the coat by mistake, and produced a character from Mr. Ibbetson. The case was remanded till this morning, that inquiries might be made. DKBERTBE3. John Doolan and Thomas Maguire, deserters from the 12th Regiment, were ordered to be handed over to the military authorities. This concluded the police business.
