WEEKLY SUMMARY. Busineu during the week has been very dull, and the foreign arrival! and departures have been confined to fourvesftels. The weather has been fine, with a prevalence of headwinds, causing some detention to our numerous coastingoraft. On the 30fcb,the Eagle, Captain Wfleon, left for Rorotonga and the South Sea Islands, with, a general cargo ; and on the 31st, the ship Maori, Captain Roberts, left the heads for Plymouth wify f n.ea.rly,3PD raen-of H.M. 57th Regiment, in comfoand pi Major Stuart ; owing to the continued heid winds,' however, the vessel brought up off Warigaparoa, where she was detained four days, getting under weigh on the morning of the 4th, with a^rery light unfarourable breeze. On the Ist, the Auckland schooner Banshee, Ctptaia Sloane, arrived from Adelaide, with a cargo of wheat on account of her owners, after a very good passage. On the 2nd, the Auckland schooner So ccy Lass, Captain MoKenzie, arrived from. Napier and the coast, with a oargo of wlf?at and maize. On the same day the P., ft. Z., and iuß.Mv Co.'s s.s. On the 4th, the schooner Kenilworth sailed for Oamaru, to load 75,000 feet of timber at Kennedy's Bay. • The Panama mail, due here on the 29th ultimo, has not yet been received. It is expected in the s.s. Lord Ashley, due hero yesterday from the South. The new brig Flying Cloud has been fitted out for sea during the past few d/vys, and sails to-day for San Franoisoo, with upward* of * 130 passengers on board, for whom very wretched acoomuaodation has been provided. We shall expeot to hear of considerable litigation on the arrival of the vessel at her destination. The sohooner Queen has changed hands for £750, having been purchased by Captain Veale, and left for Christchurch, with a oargo of fawn timber, shipped at Wangapoa. _ . Tke Auckland barque Novelty, Captain Neanng, sails for London on Tuesday, with a cargo of kaun gum, wool, and breadstuff*, the first of our Auck-land-built vessels for that destination. The ship Electrio, Captain Lewthwaite, also sails for London on Wednesday, with the head-quartera of H.M. 57th Eegiment on board, in command of Colonel Logan, C.B. The barque Adriatic, Captain Cappon, sails to-day for Valparaiso, to load breadstuffii for the English market. The barque Mistletoe, Captain Duder, sails on Tuesday for Sydney, with oargo and passengers. m The schooner Kate Grant, having repaired the damage to her sail*, and received new canvas, to replace herloss during the reoent heavy weather, continued her passage to Ohristohuroh yesterday, with timber from Kaipara. Tenders are required by the Admiralty oflßoer for the transport of invalids, &0., to the Australian colonies.

The Flying Clottd. — The new brig Flying Cloud, Captain Scon, clears at the Custom-house to-day, and sails for San Francisco. Her papers were deposited at the Customs yesterday, but the passenger list was detained by the agent, who purposes producing it only at the last moment, in consequence of the numerous inquiries after it. The vessel has been surveyed and passed by the Customs officers, and carries 130 passengers. The Ship Electric. — The ship Electric, Captain Lewthwaite,will be finally inspected by the Resident Transport Officer on Monday, and embark the headquarters of H.M. 12th Regiment on Tuesday, proceeding to sea on the following day. The Electric has been admirably fitted up for the reception of troops, and presents a very creditable appearance. Her saloon accommodation is of a moat superior description, and has been much admired by visitors. The Ship England.— The ship England, Captain Fox, has completed her shipment of Commissariat cargo at the wharf, and will be removed into the stream on Tuesday, prior to fitting up for the reception of troops. She takes the men of H.M. 12th Regiment, in conjunction with the ship Mary Shepherd, and sails about the 15th inst. The Midoe.— The little steamer Midge, on her passage from London to this port under canvas, in oharge of her owner, Captain Loutitt, is now 140 days out. In all probability, however, she h*s put in at the Cape or elsewhere during the passage. The London ship John Scott, Captain Penfyld, is now 112 days out, and may therefore be daily expected. She comes consigned to Messrs. Cruickshank, Smart, and Co. The barque Adriatic, Captain Cappon, sails this morning for Valparaiso. The schooner Prima Donna, Captain Cook, sailed last evening for the islands of the New Hebrides, with 25,000 feet of sawn timber. The p.s. Enterprise.— The p.s. Enterprise, Captain Philpott, arrived at an early hour yeßterday morning from Coromande], with passengers ; and steamed for Matakana and the Kawau at noon, with passengers and stores. The schooner Kate Grant, Captain Matzen, which put in here to repair canvas on her passage from Kaiparato Christchurch, with timber onboard, sailed for the latter place yesterday morning. The cutters Kate for Wangapoa, and Fly for Hauraki, sailed yesterday morning, with sundries. Ihe cutter Eapid, Couldrey, master, arrired early yesterday morning from the Wairoa, Thames, with a cargo of 150 bushels grass seed, 40 cheeses, and other lettlers' produce. Ihe schooner Julia for Puhoi, and outter Severn for the Thames, sailed yesterday in ballast. The schooner Jane and cutters Agnes and Hero ■ailed yeaterdny fur Poverty ~ Bay, with general oargoes and passengers. The sohoonera Elisabeth Mary and Helen failed yesterday in ballast, the former for Wangarei, and the latter for the Great Barrier Island. The cutter Thistle sailed yesterday for Walpu, and the cutter Don for Wangaroa, with sundries and passengers. The outter Dawn sailed yesterday for Port Fitz^ roy, Great Barrier Island, with stores, &c. The Mistletoe, Captain Duder, entered outwards at the Customs yesterday for Sydney, and sails on Tuesday, carrying passengers and cargo. The ketch Cassia sailed yesterday for the Great Barrier Island, with stores, and the cutter Aloe for the Thames. The schooner Prima Donna, Captain Cook, sails this morning for the New Hebrides Islands, with a cargo of sawn timber.
