' Another was published on the 15th instant* and I contains notifications of the' appointment of. Mr. T; A. S. Kynnersley to be receiver of label wveuue jfor the NeWon south-west goldfields; of the exItinguishment of the native, title' over the Kuapekajpeka block, Auckland, and the Otumafai block, 'Hawke's Bay ; of the abandonment by Government ,of the right to take any of the land in the Ifgati- , iruanui coast block ; that claims for compensation on account of the taking of the land, in the Mphaka ,and, Waikare district, Sawke's Bayi mus.t be sent in within sixmohths'from the 12th' January last. A third Gazette was published on Wednesday, the 20th instant, in which we observe the following '(notification!, &c. :— The fifth, section of the Gold* fields Act, 1866, is brought into operation in, the, {province of Nelson, ; and the Protection of Certain ! Animals Act, 1866, in that of Auckland. The 31st jMarch, 30th June, 30th September, and 31st, December are' the dates fixed for curators of intestate {estates to 'render their account*, ap<Ts per cent, is to !be deducted from all moneys paid, to foim part jof ' the general revenue of the colony. The of Deeds' offices are \to be opened from ten to four on every day exc«pt Sunday knd ! Saturday, bn which latter day the hours are from ten till two. Wes'tTand is con'atituted a district under the Districts Courts Act Amendment Act, 1865. The [Resident Magistrates' Jurisdiction Extension Act, 18612, is to' be suspended at Hokittka and Greymouth from the 15th prox. ' Edward Clarke, Esq., barrister-at-law, is appointed District Cdurt Judge j J. H. O'Loughlin, Esq., Crown Pro-, secutorj and C. Hardcastle, Es« ., Clerk at and Harry Kenrick, Esq., Cletk *t Greymonth.
