PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.
A Provincial Government Gazette was published yeattrday, and contained proclamation, under th Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1866, setting apart special settlement land in the southern portion of Wftiuku E*st Block and Huaua Block ; alao, notice of intended sale of the first-mentioned block. Mr. Hugh McHhone has been appointed rate-oolleotor of the Lake district. The run described below has been claimed by Mr. • J. C. Firth :— " Situation : Thames District. Boundaries : All that block or parcel of land known as the Uruhau, containing 3,750 acres, and being situated on the northern bank of the Waitoa River, near Te M*t*m*ta, Thames, District, more particularly delineated on the plan of the Thames Valley, in the Land- office, Auckland. Number and description of stock upon the run (to commence with) : 60 head of great cattle." The remainder of the Gazette is occupied with revised schedule for the district of Mangere foe the years 1866-67, and statement of receipts and expenditure for the hundreds of Onehunga, Howick, and Panmure for the year 1866.
