THE MANGAWAI BREAKWATER.
To the Editor of the Daily Southern Cross. Sir, — Your correspondent " Manga wai" says, in his letter on the Mangawai breakwater, " There should be a sura deposited in the Auckland Bank to the credit of the breakwater." I beg to inform him that the paid-un subscriptions are deposited in the Bank of New Zealand, in the names of Capbain W. Moir and Charles Haselden. — I am, sir, &c, C. Haselden, Hon, Sec. and Treasurer to the Mangawai Harbour Improvements Committee.
