Catherine Burke, of Chancery-street, was charged by Colour-Sergeant John Pike, 50th Regiment, with a breach of the 85th clause ef the Mutiny Act, 1862, by reoeiving into her possession a pair of military blue ■erge trousers, the property of private William Johnttone, 60th 'Regiment, of the value of nine shillings. The prisoner admitted her guilt, but pleaded Ignorance of the law. The Bench imposed a fine of £8 in addition to treble the value of the trousers, with the alternative of one month* imprisonment. .The fine wa§paid<
