WEEKLY SUMMARY. ' We have little to ieport since the publication of our last weekly summary. The arrivals foreign have been very limited, and business has been mainly confined to the coasting and inter-provincial trade. The prevailing winds have been unfavourable for foreign-going vessels, and prevented them making ■ the port. The foreign arrivals number only two, and the departures three, although several others are waiting a favourable change of wind to take theirdeparture. The Auolcland schooner .Rapid arrived from Norfolk Island, with produce, on the 7thiDst. The inter-provincial arrivals have been the topsail schooner Thane of Fife, from Napier, and the schooner Meteor, from Canterbury, on the 2nd ; the s.s. Stnr of the South, from Napier, on the 3rd; the Auckland schooner Albatross, from Chatham Islands and Dunedin, on the 4th; the s.s. Lord Ashley, from Hokitika, Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, and Tauranga, on the sth ; the brig Pakeha, on the 6th, from Taranaki, with 120 tons Commissariat stores. From the coast we have had our usual regular traders with full cargoes of produce, timber, kauri gum, coal, &c. The foreign departures have been : — On the 4th the barque Heleu S. Page, for Queensland, in ballast, and. the schooner Flying Suck for Guam, in ballast ; on the 6th the barque Prinze Regent for Newcastle, via Wellington, to discharge her original cargo of coals at the latter place, on account of the P., N.Z., and A.B.M. Company; and to-day the bnrque Free Trader leaves for Newcastle, N.S.W., with timber and passengers ; and the schooners Kenilworth for Mauritius, and Zillah for South Seas.

MISCELLANEOUS. H.M. s. Falcon.— H.M. s. Falcon, which left tbese waters about a fortnight ago for a cruise of the South Seas, is in charge of Commander Geo. R. Hope (late Lieutenant); Captain Parkin, her former commander, having been promoted, as already noticed in these columns. The Free Trader.— The barque Free Trader, Captain Robinson, was again detained wind-bound yesterday. She sails this morning, weather permitting, with a cargo »f timber, and the following passengers, for Newcastle and Sydney : — Mr. Fitzgibbon, jun., Mr. Day, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson and 2 children, Messrs. J. Cochraue, W. Gore, C. Sims, Mrs. Williams, and several othera. The Kenil worth. — The schooner Kenilworth, Captain McKenzie, cleared at the Custom-house yesterday for the Mauritius, with a full cargo of oats, sawn timber, shingles, &c. , as per exports, and will take her departure to-day. The Zillah.— The schooner Zillab, Captain Wyatt, cleared at the Custom-house yesterday for Tahiti and Rorotonga, with a general cargo of bonded and free goods, 14 horses, &c. (as per exports), and the following passengers : — Messrs. Nathaniel Hills, Lewis Cozens, F. Schebert, and F. Marmouhl. She will sail this day. The schooner Bluebell, Cheshire, master, arrived in harbour last night from the South Sea Islands. She arrived at Tahiti on the 20fch June, after a passage of 22 days from Wangapoa Saw-mills. iShe left Tahiti for Auckland on the 11th July; experienced light variable winds ; sighted the island of Rorotonga on the 17th; July ; then passed through the Kermadec Islands, where she experienced a severe gale from the 5.8., and heavy sea, which carried away the main boom and gaff. She was compelled to heave-to for 35 hours. From thence to Anckland light S.S.W. winds. The ship Queen of the North, Captain Green, is appointed to sail for London on the 20th instant, with a general cargo Commissariat goods, and » number of saloon passengers. The barque Peru {and the brig Rita have nearly completed their overhaul, the former on the patent Blip, and the latter off Custom-house-street. The schooner Nile, Brown, master, sailed last evening for Wangarei, in ballast, to load coal. The cntfcer Wateriily, APan, master, sailed last night for Waiheki, with sundries. The cntter Comet, Cross, master, arrived yesterday from Puhoi with a cargo of shingles, &a. The cutter Rapid, Couldrey, master, sailed last evening for the Wairoa, Thames, with sundries and passengers. The cntter Orpheus, Cleveland, master, arrived yesterday from Coromandel, with a full cargo of sawn timber, and several passengers. The cutter Margaret arrived yesterday from Kennedy's Bay, with a cargo of sawn timber, and several passengers. The cutter Sovereign of the Seas, Inness, master, sailed yesterday for the Kawau and Matakana, with sundry merchandise and passengers. The schooner Sea Breeze, Captain Norris, sailed yesterday morning for Russell, Bay of Islands, with a full general cargo, and the following passengers: — Messrs. T. Williams, J. Williams, T. Williams, jun., Thomson, Harvey, Bright; Miss Robinson, Miss Williams, Mrs. Williams ; and six in the steerage. The schooner Ivanhoe, Captain McGregor, Bailed yesterday for Mongonui with a general cargo of merchandise. Passenger : Mr. Fletcher. The cutters St»g and Avon sailed yesterday, the former for Omaha, with sundries, and the latter for the Hot Springs, with timber. A cargo of kauri gum came up from the Thames yesterday, in the cutter Alabama. The schooner Helen, Ricketts, master, sailed last night for Tairua saw-mills, with a cargo of sundry merchandise and four passengers. The cutter Petrel, Niemann, master, sailed for Coromandel last night, with sundries and seven passengers. The s.s. Lord Ashley, Captain G. Ponsonby, coaled at the hulk yesterday, and will leave for the South, vi& Tauranga, at noon to-morrow. She also proceeds to Nelson and Hokitika. The schooner Julia arrived yesterday from Waiheki, with a cargo of firewood. The schooner Mapere, Captain Thwaites, arrived yesterday from Tairua, via the Tamaki, after discharging a cargo of sawn timber at the latter place, to be used in the erection of a church at Panmure. The cutters Miranda and Three Brothers will sail for Mangawai this morning. . The cutters Aquil* and Smuggler will sail for Waugarei to-day. The p. s. Tasmanian Maid is due here this evening from Wangarei.
