NEW ZEALAND INTERCOLONIAL MAIL STEAM SERVICE. MANUKAU AND MELBOURNE. rpENDERS will be received at this Office until X THURSDAY, the 24th. May, 1866, for the PERFORMANCE of a MONTHLY STEAM SERVICE for the conveyance of her Majesty's Mails between the Port of Manukau, in the Province of Auckland, and Melbourne, each way, for a period of six months, commencing on the 11th day of June, 1866, at Melbourne. The steamer to await the arrival at Melbourne of the European mail for niuety-six hours after its due date, if required by the Postmaster-General or his agent. Tenders to state the rate 1 per hour for any further detention, not exceeding a further period of ninety-six hours. A penalty of four pounds per hour will be required for delay in departure after the time fixed on each voyage. All mails to be shipped, landed, and transhipped by and at the expense of the contractor. A Chief Cabin passage, free of coßt, to be pro« vided for a Postal Officer, and proper accommodation for the Sorting of the Mails ; also, a proper secure and convenient place for the Deposit of the Mails. The name, tonnage, and horse-power of the vessel proposed to be employed in this service to be stated ; the vessel to be approved of by the PostmasterGeneral, and subject to be surveyed by some person I appointed by him whenever he may consider it necessary. Tenders to be endorsed, "Tender for Manukau and Melbourne Mail Steam Service." NELSON AND SYDNEY. Tenders will also be received until the same date for a similar service between Nelstfh and Sydney the service to commence on the 14th day of June, 1866, at Sydney; the duration, terms, and conditions the same as those of the Manukau and Melbourne service. Colonial Secretary's Office, Wellington, March 7, 1866. rpENDEUS will be received at this office, until A noon of TUESDAY, the 15th day of May, for REPORTING and PRINTING the DEBATES in the Legislative Council and in the House of Representatives, during the next session of the General Assembly. The size of the publication to be foolscap folio, in Brevier type, fifteen (15) pica ems wide, made up double column iv pages of sixty (60) pica ems deep. Tenders to state withm what time the reports will be printed for circulation after t\e date on which the debates reported take place. " The average amount to be set up in a printed form is eighteen (18) pages daily of the size above indicated for the House of Representatives, and ten (10) pages for the Legislative Council. The reports to be subject to approval in such manner as either House may direct.
